Distinguished Fellow status is the highest honour conferred by the Presidium of National Foundation for Entrepreneurship Development (NFED), Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu on revered academicians, scholars, teachers, entrepreneurs (including social entrepreneurs), practitioners, social activists, consultants, and freelancers for their outstanding and impeccable contributions in their respective fields pertaining to socio-economic development. The Distinguished Fellows are the people of eminence who act as the knowledge capital of NFED and function as its brand ambassadors across the nation and globe. They are expected to propagate the vision and facilitate the mission of NFED by their active representation in professional networking / research publications / consultancy services / talent representations / mentoring activities / training & development / promulgation of conferences / seminars, etc. for its wider reach and publicity. The intellectual potential of distinguished fellows is utilized / recognized accordingly in all the NFED's activities / events (deliver sessions, talks, and lectures pertaining to programmes on self-motivation, self-management, self-employment, skill training, entrepreneurship development, women empowerment, etc.) whichever is appropriate to their expertise. Currently, there are 12 distinguished fellows from various states of India.
